Utilita Performance of the Week: Ipswich Town

(Nominations include Premier League, EFL Championship, EFL League One, EFL League Two, WSL, and Women’s Championship fixtures)

The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Chris Hughton, Rachel Yankey, Les Ferdinand, Clare Tomlinson, Dave Bassett, and Barry Fry has determined that the Utilita Performance of the Week Award should go to Ipswich Town for their performance against Coventry City on Tuesday 30th April.

Ipswich Town manager, Kieran McKenna, will receive the Utilita Performance of the Week trophy.

 

Match Report

Cameron Burgess scored the crucial goal as Town secured a huge three points away at Coventry City this evening.

The Australian international struck on 69 minutes, putting the Blues back in front after Town had seen Kieffer Moore’s early goal cancelled out by Haji Wright.  

Manager Kieran McKenna made three changes to his side for the visit to the CBS Stadium, with George Edmundson, Nathan Broadhead and Moore all coming into the starting XI and Luke Woolfenden, Conor Chaplin and George Hirst moving to the bench.

Vaclav Hladky started in goal, with Axel Tuanzebe, Edmundson, Cameron Burgess, and Leif Davis all starting in front of him.

Skipper Sam Morsy was in midfield alongside Massimo Luongo, with Burns, Omari Hutchinson and Nathan Broadhead supporting Moore.
